  • RPS Progress & Change Management

As superintendent of schools, I am held accountable for the success of RPS. As a parent of an RPS student, I have a very deeply vested interest in the progress being made. From the outside looking in, it may appear to some that we are not making enough progress – particularly when it comes to school accreditation. The school accreditation ratings that were recently released were not what we expected and do not represent what we want for our schools or students. While we are disappointed that we did not continue the great progress made during the previous school year with an approximately 55% improvement in the number of schools fully accredited, over the past two school years, we have been able to move and maintain more schools meeting the fully accredited status.
