Facilities Task Force
Richmond Public Schools (RPS) established a Facilities Task Force In April 2014 to evaluate the district’s short- and long-term facility needs, assess projected enrollment, gather feedback from the community and provide recommendations to members of the district’s administration, School Board, Mayor, City Council and the public on facility planning options over the next 10 years. Co-chaired by Richmond City School Board members Kristen Larson and Kimberly Gray, the Task Force was comprised of community leaders, volunteers, staff and subject matter experts in the areas of real estate, architecture, building construction, sports facilities and economic development. Members of the Task Force served in one of four of the following subcommittees areas:
- Baseline Standards (New School Construction)
- Planning and Projections

Facilities Needs Report
Along with the work of the RPS Facilities Task Force, the following organizations provided valuable insight into the district’s facilities planning process:

- BCWH Architects - school assessments
- K12 Insight - community survey
