  • Click here -> "Spring SOL In-Person Parent-Student Intent Form"

Standards of Learning (SOL) Assessments are approaching and we want families to understand their options when it comes to testing. To review options and let us know of your intentions for the Spring SOL assessments, please complete the survey at www.rvaschools.net/sol.

While most RPS students are receiving virtual instruction, the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) and the United States Education Department (USED) require some tests for students in grades 3 to 12 to be administered in-person.

To reduce the risk to both staff and students, we have implemented robust health and safety protocols. However, we understand that some families may not yet be comfortable sending students to schools to test.

Please complete this brief intent form by April 16, 2021.

  • RPS Direct Update - July 21, 2021

Dear #RPSStrong Family, Tonight's updates: Mask Guidance – Despite today's announcement from the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Department of Education allowing for more leniency with mask-wearing in middle and high schools, at RPS, we will be maintaining our 100% mask-wearing policy for all students, staff, and visitors. We feel this is the safest course of action, particularly with the surging delta variant.
