Principal Bell's Message
Welcome to Armstrong High School, home of the Wildcats! Thank you for visiting our website to learn more about our school community, including our amazing students, our loving staff, our supporting families and partners, and our exciting programs.
We are dedicated to provide excellence and greatness for our students in all areas of life. Our primary goal at Armstrong High School is to help all students realize that Greatness is their Rightful Destiny and help them to achieve their dreams and find success in pursuing life goals. We are unconditionally committed to providing the best possible educational program to our students. We believe that there are numerous opportunities, both within our curricula and through extracurricular activities, for our students to gain the skills that will launch them to success in their lives after high school.
As your principal, I am honored to lead our school community to help provide an exciting and rigorous educational experience for our students. Our team is committed to ensuring that our students receive the best possible support to learn and grow.
My vision for “The Strong“ is to provide students with an educational experience that inspires and motivates them to be lifelong learners and caring contributors to the world around them. Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment that meets the individual needs of each student, both academically and socially.
Our skilled and devoted staff are committed to making a difference. They want to have a positive impact on your child and above all, they want to provide them with an engaging and joyful learning experience that supports them in becoming independent learners. Our teachers are always working to get better at what they do through personal self-development and participation in a wide variety of professional development activities. They model life-long learning for our students and never settle for anything less than their best! Thank you to our incredible staff for their amazing professionalism and incredible energy and their commitment to our students.
Great schools always come back to the relationship between the child and the teacher. Be sure and find ways to engage yourself in school life – your child will notice and respond. There are numerous opportunities for parental involvement. Together, we can make a positive difference. A strong partnership between home and school fosters greater success for our children. Families, teachers, support staff, community members, and administration all play a part in helping our students develop academically, socially, and emotionally. May we all be present for the joy of learning, the satisfaction of a job well done, and the comfort that comes from belonging to a community.
To my students, staff, families, and community; I am so honored to be your servant leader. Thank you for the opportunity to work with such an amazing school community. I encourage you to stop in or call me to share ideas, concerns, or questions. I wish your family, and especially your student, great success this school year.
If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to say hi, please feel free to contact me via at email@example.com or 804.780.4449.

"RPS Direct" Emails from Superintendent Kamras
Dear #RPSStrong Family, Happy Friday! Tonight's updates: Mask Reminders – Parents and caregivers, please be sure students have their masks on when approaching and boarding the school bus. This helps ensure a safe and speedy boarding process. Please also make sure to send your students with a mask that fits their face. Adult size masks are not appropriate for small children, as they do not fit tightly (see CDC graphic below). If you need pediatric masks, your school can provide them. Thank you for helping keep RPS safe! COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate – RPS employees, please be reminded that you have until October 1 to submit full proof of vaccination or obtain a religious/medical exemption. Though I pray it doesn't come to this, please understand that any employee who does not meet the requirements of the mandate will face progressive discipline, including loss of employment.
Dear #RPSStrong Family, While we've been overjoyed to return to school despite COVID, we've also been heartbroken by another pandemic that plagues our community – gun violence. I'm devastated to share that, in the past 48 hours, five RPS students have been shot. We've also lost two students to other causes (unrelated to gun violence or COVID). These tragic events remind us of the grief and trauma that so many RPS students, families, and staff face daily. The RPS family is hurting tonight. Let us all pause this evening to check on one another, support one another, and extend grace and love to one another.
