Richmond Public Schools, in partnership with our community looks to support students and families through school-partnership activities such as volunteering, mentoring, tutoring, and financial or in-kind contributions. You can help RPS prepare our students to become highly successful, contributing citizens in a global society. Join the many partners who have already engaged in a Richmond Public School partnership.
Application Process for New Partners
Richmond Public Schools accepts applications for new partnerships on a rolling basis. Applications are required for organizations that want to provide services at no cost to the district. The application for partnerships is the first step in becoming a partner!
If you are interested in volunteering please visit the volunteer site for information on how to submit an application. Organizations interested in providing contractual services for the district should visit our Procurement Department's website.
Letters of Support
RPS is Building a Better District with the help of our community partners. If you are seeking a letter of support or commitment for a grant proposal or other initiative, please complete the following steps: § Submit your request at least 10 business days in advance of the due date of the proposal (15 business days preferred)
§ Identify all individuals within the district with whom you have communicated about your interest with RPS for this initiative, including School Board members
§ Provide a brief summary of your proposed project and how you intend to partner with RPS
Provide a copy of your draft proposal outlining the responsibilities of Richmond Public Schools as identified by the initiative by email to the Office of Community Partnerships. Once the request has been submitted in its entirety, it will be reviewed and feedback provided if necessary or appropriate. Letters of Support will be given for those proposals that align to the districts Academic Improvement Plan and partnership priorities. If you have any questions regarding the process, please email Grady Hart, Coordinator of Community Partnerships.
