    January 2016 Name: Chase Hartley
    Sport: Basketball
    School: Albert Hill Middle School
    Athletic Achievements: Chase currently plays on our tiger’s boys’ basketball team and for Bon Air. He also enjoys playing soccer for the Richmond Strikers.  
    Academic Accomplishments: Chase is in all academic core classes where he known as a high ranking scholar roll student. He has received awards in the areas of honor/scholar roll, perfect attendances, paw pride and citizenship    
    Activities: Chase finds it a privilege to serve others. He currently volunteers in his church youth group at St James church. He enjoys cooking and feeding the homeless and participates in mission trips. He recently travelled to Exmore, on the eastern shore, where he gathered food and packaged it for food banks.

    january2016 Name: Aleaijah Thomas
    Sport: Cheerleading Squad
    School: Thomas H. Henderson Middle
    Athletic Achievements: Aleaijah has been part of the Thomas H. Henderson Warrior Xplosion cheerleading squad for two years. Aleaijah has submitted all paperwork in a timely fashion, has taken on leadership roles and has successfully and positively represented the Warrior Xplosion team in all her interactions at HMS.
    Academic Accomplishments: Aleaijah has been a scholar roll student from the beginning of sixth grade. She maintains good grades while participating in extracurricular sports and working with other students in her neighborhood.
    Activities: Aleaijah goes above and beyond all that is asked of her as an eighth grade student. She is able to work with sixth grade students and seventh grade students in a positive manner. She exemplifies the meaning of a leader and has been an outstanding W.A.R.R.I.O.R. Aleaijah has taken extra time during class periods to help other students review the information.

    october2015 Name: Stella Bryant.
    Sport: Basketball
    School: Binford Middle School
    Athletic Achievements: Stella is a member of the Binford Middle School Girls’ Basketball team.  She is an extremely hard worker on the court and an excellent teammate.  She is a first year player who the coaches can always count on to do the right thing.  She leads by example.
    Academic Accomplishments: Stella is a sixth grade student that is really achieving in all of her classes.  She currently has straight As.  When asked, all of her teachers say that she is an excellent student.  Just like in basketball, Stella can always be counted on to do the right thing.
    Activities:  Stella is a proud member of her church.  She does her fair share of community service.  At least once a month Stella volunteers to help feed the homeless.  She has dedicated herself as being an excellent daughter, sister, and student.

    october2015 Name: Irving Rojas-Pena
    Sport: Soccer, Track, Indoor Soccer
    School: Albert Hill Middle
    Athletic Achievements: He has actively participated on our soccer and track team for the past three years. He is also a proud yearly participant in the Richmond 10K and the R.I.S.E indoor soccer league.
    Academic Accomplishments: Irving has received a myriad of awards and accolades pertaining to academics. For the past two years, he has received awards of excellence and honor in the areas of English, History and Science.
    Activities: Irving is very active not only on the field but off the field. He presently volunteers at Mary Mumford in varying capacities that range from assisting teachers to hands on involvement in landscaping projects. He also serves as a volunteer youth leader for the Avenue Church. Irving is always eager to help other and when asked to tutor he is willing to do so without passing judgment.
