    • Band Camp begins on August 9.  Monday - Thursday 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

    Enrollment for the school year 2021 - 2022 is now open.

    • All required steps, including completing the online enrollment form and providing documentation, must be completed before a child starts school.  New RPS students should begin the enrollment process by visiting Enroll RPS.
    • Families who recently moved to RPS and need to enroll in the current school year, 2021 - 2022, should begin the enrollment process by visiting Enroll RPS and selecting the school year 2021 - 2022 from the drop down menu on the dashboard after logging in.
    • Students already attending an RPS school who moved within Richmond during the school year should compleete a transfer form in Enroll RPS.

    Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, if you would like in-person support completing your online enrollment form, please reach out to our SISOP, Ms. Kennedy to make an appointment.

    2021 - 2022 Required School Immunizations

    As of July 1, Virginia has mandated new vaccinations (unrelated to COVID-19) for any child attending school or daycare in the state.  These are in addition to current vaccination requirements.  Click here for more information or visit www.rchd.com.

    Attention all Rising 12th Graders:  Immunization Requirement

    MENINGOCOCCAL CONJUGATE (MENACWY) VACCINE:

    At least 2 doses are required, one before starting 7th grade and another before starting 12th grade.

  • RPS Love Parade - Please join us for our first annual RPS Love Parade on Saturday, August 21! Help us spread the love for our teachers and students as we parade from Community High School to Hotchkiss Field. Then stick around for the 15th Annual We Care Festival to learn about reopening and our new community-wide literacy focus.

  • Vaccine Opportunity for RPS Families & Staff - On Wednesdays, you can walk up to George Wythe High School (4314 Crutchfield Street) from 3pm - 6pm and get the COVID-19 vaccine without an appointment. All walk-up events at George Wythe will offer either the Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson vaccine, so anyone 12+ can attend. Click here to learn more about the COVID-19 vaccine.

    Dear #RPSStrong Family, We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our colleague Jonathan Kenneth, a devoted Instructional Technology Resource Teacher (ITRT), after a lengthy health-related battle. There will be a celebration of his life this evening at River City Middle School at 6 pm. More information about Jonathan’s life and remembrances can be found here.
