Grants Ambassador

  • The Office of Grants Monitoring & Compliance is delighted to implement a district-wide initiative that is intended to improve involvement and success in securing and managing grant funding for Richmond Public Schools. Each school will designate one (1) Grants Ambassador, who will serve as the lead contact person for grant activities at your school.

    Grant Ambassadors will be responsible for the following:

     Conveying the following to the administrative team:

    • The purpose and goal of each grant that supports their site
    • The parameters for expenditures ie. allowable expenditures
    • The timelines associated with expending awarded grant funds
    • The requirement of the principal’s signature on all paperwork associated with the expenditure of grant funding for purchases, activities etc.. prior to submission for processing by the LEA
    • Submitting data/documentation to support the monitoring of the grants to ensure compliance with federal, state and local guidelines
    • Participating in or facilitating the needs assessment required to secure grant funding
