Richmond Public Schools (RPS) is pleased to continue to offer comprehensive and competitive benefit options to support the health and wellness of employees and their families.
Each year, all benefit eligible employees have the opportunity to enroll in, or make changes to their benefit elections through open enrollment. This year open enrollment will take place from Monday, October 14th through Friday, November 1st, with benefit elections effective January 1, 2020.

RPS benefits include:
- Three (3) Cigna medical plan options for primary coverage which includes comprehensive health care, vision, prescription drugs, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
- A variety of additional voluntary benefits to meet unique needs, including dental, short and long term disability, and legal resources
In order to receive the discounted premiums please plan on participate in the biometric screening and health assessment between May and June 2019 (you must complete both). The biometric screening provides you with critical information so you can make informed health decisions, including participating in one of our many wellness programs (for example, this year we’re offering additional resources related to diabetes prevention and colon testing).
