Superintendent's Teacher Advisory Council (TAC)
The Superintendent’s Teacher Advisory Council (TAC) an opportunity for teachers to be actively involved in shaping the future of RPS. The cabinet will consist of twenty-five members who are appointed for a one-year term (to continue through next school year) and will act as an advisory committee to the superintendent on a host of issues, with the intent of helping to cultivate a safe, nurturing teaching and learning environment for all students.
This year-long program gives cabinet members the opportunity to meet on a monthly basis with the Superintendent to provide direct, honest input in the development of best practices, policies, and programs affecting classroom instruction and the future of RPS students.
Cabinet members will:
- Actively participate in monthly meetings with the Superintendent
- Share input on upcoming policy decisions
- Discuss perspectives from the classroom
- Build relationships with teachers from across the school district
Application and selection process:
Applications are open to all current RPS teachers.
The 2017-2018 Superintendent's Teachers’ Cabinet Application closed Friday, April 13 at 5 pm.
Accepted teachers will be notified of their selection.
