Mr. Theron Sampson
Greetings Woodville Faculty, Staff, Students, and Stakeholders!
Welcome back for another wonderful year at Woodville Elementary School! I’m Theron Sampson. I am honored to have the opportunity to work with the students, parents, and staff of Woodville Elementary School and the East End Community. There are many exciting things happening at Woodville Elementary that will certainly have a positive impact on student growth and achievement. For the past ten years, I have enjoyed the privilege of working with students as a qualified mental health professional, special education teacher, exceptional education lead, administrative aide, community outreach liaison, and currently assistant principal. This is my first year serving as Assistant Principal within Woodville Elementary School. I am honored and enthusiastic to have the privilege to work with such a great learning community.
My primary objective as the assistant principal is to provide a safe and secure learning environment for all students so that we may improve academically through the excellent instruction and the numerous activities made available to students. My educational philosophy is that every student deserves to be educated in a safe, consistent, nurturing learning environment with highly qualified staff. I will help children reach their potential academically and socially while investing in their dreams.
As a strategy to promote our targeted growth, our faculty help to set their own academic goals. Action steps needed to reach those goals are also established and staff as well as students continually track and monitor their progress throughout the year. Teachers meet with stakeholders frequently to review the data and provide any necessary support needed to help students meet their goals. We reflect on our goals and celebrate our successes along the way. Our students and staff have a “Woodville Way!” attitude. With our “Woodville Way” attitude at Woodville, we don’t do easy. We make easy happen through hard work, respect, resiliency, and learning every day.
If you have a concern, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me. Not only am I here to nurture and educate students, but to also offer support to our students' parents. Please feel free to follow me on Twitter, view updated information posted on our school website, call, or visit me at school. When posting the great things happening at Woodville I ask that you use the hashtag #TheWoodvilleWay. Let us show the World the awesome teaching, learning, and developing taking place within the walls of Woodville. I look forward to meeting many of you during our upcoming annual Woodville Elementary School events and ceremonies. Go Woodville Bears!
