Keith W. Hicks is a native of Richmond City and a Graduate from Richmond Public Schools. Keith has spent the majority of his career working in the business banking sector and recently transitioned to education some 10 years ago. Keith serves as an Instructional Assistant at The Richmond Career Education & Employment Academy housed in John Marshall High School. His primary function is to assist teachers with instructional activities and work with students with disabilities by providing varying levels and model support in vocational settings. Keith also assists with designs and implementation of compensatory strategies, adaptations, and modifications based on job requirements and input from employee and employer. He is a graduate of Averett University where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Phoenix. He serves on the Virginia Manufacturing Housing Board, President of Virginia Heroes, President of the Astoria Beneficial Club, Executive Board member of Habitat for Humanity and Youth Coordinator for Friends Association for Children in Richmond’s Jackson Ward Community. Keith has dedicated himself to becoming a lifelong educator and school administrator. He endeavors to instill a similar desire in his students to promote community engagement, and develop a better quality of life for all.
