Out-of-School Time Programs
RPS After 3 PM
Out-of-School Time (OST) programs provide structured learning opportunities beyond the traditional school day. Offered before school, after school, on weekends, and throughout the summer, these programs give students access to safe, supportive, and enriching spaces that extend learning and development.
OST experiences span a broad range of opportunities, including:
-
Academic Support: tutoring, homework assistance, test preparation, and enrichment in STEM, literacy, and art
-
Recreation & Wellness: athletics, fitness, dance, theater, music, and outdoor activities that promote balance and well-being
-
Youth Development: leadership training, mentoring, social-emotional learning, and service opportunities that build character and community connection
-
College & Career Readiness: career exploration and durable (soft) skills development that prepare students for postsecondary success
The purpose of OST programs is to expand access, build confidence, and keep students deeply connected to their schools and communities. By opening doors to exploration and skill-building, these programs help young people discover their passions and prepare for the future - whether that future includes college, career, or military service.
