The Bellevue Elementary School community has made great strides during this virtual school year. This has been an opportunity to utilize technology and lead our students and staff with tools for 21st century learning. At Bellevue, we are committed to making each day memorable and meaningful, and we believe when staff, parents and our school community work together, all of our Bellevue Dragons will benefit.
At Bellevue Elementary School we recognize and promote the uniqueness of each individual child. Since each of our students has different strengths and needs, we promote a challenging atmosphere for learning through an integrated curriculum. Bellevue Elementary School is committed to excellence in educating and preparing students for their future contributions to society. One way our vision is communicated to students is through the internalization of our school affirmation:
I am Mindfully Me.
Being Mindfully Me means…
No one else can be who I can be.
I matter; I’m unique;
I am kind whenever I speak.
I am helpful and it shows
I practice self-control
I stay focused, can’t you see
I am delightfully, Mindfully Me!
Bellevue is a community school and we practice the traits of “Caring, Respect, Responsibility, Trust and Family.” Help us to make the rest of this school year a successful one! If I can assist you in any way, if you have any questions, concerns, or just want to say hi, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 804-780-4417.
Yours in service,
Principal V. Tanaia Hines

"RPS Direct" Emails from Superintendent Kamras
Dear #RPSStrong Family, Happy Friday! Tonight's updates: Mask Reminders – Parents and caregivers, please be sure students have their masks on when approaching and boarding the school bus. This helps ensure a safe and speedy boarding process. Please also make sure to send your students with a mask that fits their face. Adult size masks are not appropriate for small children, as they do not fit tightly (see CDC graphic below). If you need pediatric masks, your school can provide them. Thank you for helping keep RPS safe! COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate – RPS employees, please be reminded that you have until October 1 to submit full proof of vaccination or obtain a religious/medical exemption. Though I pray it doesn't come to this, please understand that any employee who does not meet the requirements of the mandate will face progressive discipline, including loss of employment.
Dear #RPSStrong Family, While we've been overjoyed to return to school despite COVID, we've also been heartbroken by another pandemic that plagues our community – gun violence. I'm devastated to share that, in the past 48 hours, five RPS students have been shot. We've also lost two students to other causes (unrelated to gun violence or COVID). These tragic events remind us of the grief and trauma that so many RPS students, families, and staff face daily. The RPS family is hurting tonight. Let us all pause this evening to check on one another, support one another, and extend grace and love to one another.
