Individualized Education Plan
Each child's Individualized Education Plan guides all student instruction. Therefore, each student has an individually prescribed program addressing that student's particular strengths, weaknesses, needs, goals, and objectives.
Since 1993 Richmond Public Schools, through Thirteen Acres, has contracted Richmond Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) to provide counseling services to both students and their families. Counseling services are conducted at school and in the home based upon recognized needs. During the school day RBHA staff members conduct social skills classes as well as provide individual and group counseling sessions. Additionally, RBHA staff members render immediate crisis counseling for students as needed.
Outside of the classroom RBHA offers counseling services to students and their families ranging from weekly contacts to five hours of intensive services per week. On an emergency basis RBHA provides individual and family crisis counseling twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week to students and families
