• Elementary instruction focuses on adapted curriculum and individual goals as specified in each student’s IEP. Each classroom is staffed with a teaching team of a licensed special education teacher, two instructional assistants, as well as personal behavior aides or nurses as needed. Due to students’ severe intellectual disabilities as well as complex health needs or severe behaviors, instruction is based on:

    - Aligned Standards of Learning;
    - functional life skills;
    - communication and social skills;
    - simple work tasks & pre-vocational activities.
