Overview & Purpose
The RPS summer programs are coordinated at the district level, executed at the school level, and customized to meet the individual needs of students. The goal of RPS Summer School programs is to prepare students by ensuring they have a strong foundation for the next school year. Summer learning programs play a critical role in the continued support of students at every age in mastering the academic objectives required to be successful as they move to the next grade level. The extended time offered by RPS summer programs provides students with additional opportunities filled with rigorous and relevant instruction as well as student-centered learning experiences.
Registration for summer school is available on this Richmond Public Schools Summer School website under a Student Registration. Links to printable applications are also available and each school will also have applications on hand.
