On behalf of everyone at Richmond Community High, I would like to welcome you all to the new school year! On Tuesday, September 8, 2020, we will kick things off!! Now, 20/20 is normally a term used to express clear vision. Clarity. Sharpness. However, this 2020 looks a little different and perhaps not the start we envisioned. There’s some uncertainty and probably a little anxiety—normal as we knew it has changed. So, while some things are a little fuzzy, what continues to remain clear is the strength of the Pharaoh spirit. Your administration and teachers have worked tirelessly throughout the summer on our school’s re-opening plan so that we can continue to serve each of you and promote a spirit of leadership, teamwork, and collaboration.
With that in mind, our theme for this year is “Standing FIRM in Our Excellence.”
I am truly excited to welcome each of you to the 2020-2021 school year. And yes, things look a little different. Your living room may be your classroom, and your PC is your whiteboard, but our commitment to excellence remains the same. We will do our best to ensure each of you feel connected, challenged, and supported through rigorous, engaging, and quality instruction. The pandemic may have changed the way we teach and learn, but no task is too large for a Pharaoh. Our goal is not only to survive, but to thrive as we redefine and shape our new “normal.” We will work together to maintain our legacy of excellence and provide a virtual learning experience where each of you can grow and achieve. It is important that we approach this school year with same positive vibes we have in the past, and I challenge you all to continue to find ways to make this yet another incredible and productive school year. ALL IN, ALL ONE, ALL PHARAOHS!
