Instructional Technology Overview
Instructional technology is a critical component of creating world class school environments. At George Wythe High School, we aim to ensure that every classroom is equipped with the tools necessary to prepare our students to be avid learners and leaders in the 21st century.
Teachers are provided ongoing support and resources to embed technology throughout their instructional practices. The Instructional Technology Resource Teacher (ITRT) supports teachers by providing training and professional development in integrating educational technology into classroom practice. The RVA ITRTs work to support the instructional technology needs of every RPS school. The assigned ITRT for George Wythe High School is Cyndi Robinson, Ed.D.
Students are encouraged to utilize the various academic resources made available to them through Clever and Google Classroom. Clever brings all K12 applications into one secure portal and provide single sign-
on for everyone in the district. Google Classroom is designed to help teachers create, collect, and grade assignments paperlessly while fostering better communication between parents, students, and families. Please visit RPSTech.org to learn more about instructional technology in the district.
