Mrs. Regina Farr
It is truly an honor and a privilege to serve as Principal of Bellevue! My journey in education actually started at Bellevue as a student teacher and then a classroom teacher. After serving as a classroom teacher, I went on to serve as an Assistant Principal for almost two years. I was ultimately awarded my first principalship in Richmond Public Schools! This year marks my nineteenth year as a Principal and eighth year leading Bellevue Elementary. I truly love what I do… making a difference in the lives of our children and collaborating with teachers, parents and the community to make it happen. I believe wholeheartedly that the “village” concept is critical in educating children. The old African proverb states, “It takes a village…” Bellevue’s village works selflessly to support resilience, pride, and success throughout our school.
My mission as an elementary school principal is to always put the children first and to set high expectations. Students should be given a variety of experiences and exposures along with quality instruction. I believe that students can learn and make progress when given the proper materials and supports; coupled with a caring adult who believes he/she is there for the child as a “Champion.” Bellevue exists to inspire and empower every student to achieve their highest level of personal and academic goals. This is accomplished through the creative, compassionate, and collaborative efforts of skilled educators, active parents, and a fully engaged community.
Bellevue has a history of academic excellence! We affirm daily that Bellevue is a School of Excellence, where we strive for excellence in our academics, behavior and attitude. Please partner with us as we journey towards making excellence our common goal!
