Dr. Tiawana Giles
Tiawana Giles has more than 18 years of K-12 education experience focused on building collaborative relationships with parents, staff, students, and community members. Most recently Tiawana served as assistant principal at Oak Grove-Bellemeade Elementary School, where she helped to implement a school-wide collaborative planning model to ensure the alignment of instruction, school-wide Positive Behavior Intervention Supports and Morning Meeting to help support student engagement. Tiawana previously served as both a school administrator and teacher. Tiawana earned a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology from Chaminade University, holds a Masters in Reading Education from Bowie State University, and earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership from University of Richmond, and Doctorate in Administration and School Leadership from Walden University. She also is a veteran of the United States Army.
