Art After School
AAS is a grant funded program that delivers free innovative and educational classes where students have the opportunity to learn more about the process of creating art while gaining a deeper understanding of their own potential. Typically 4 artists share skills with groups of students in classes such as Animation, Bead Jewelry Design, Paper Mache or Painting as after school classes. The program is currently being run through CIS program with a session in the fall and winter. The new session will begin at the end of February.
Art After School classes are taught free of charge through the generous support of corporations and foundations, but are available to a limited number of participants. The student must be committed to attending the classes twice a week as indicated by the schedule. Selection of students for classes is ‘first come, first serve’ basis; behavior and grades in school are also considered.
