Program Overview

  • Richmond City Schools offers interscholastic competition in the middle school, as well as, high school level.athletics

    Athletes are given excellent opportunities to compete and to improve skill level with quality coaching and supervision.

    Emphasis is placed on the importance of developing the student/athlete academic performance and sportsmanship behaviors.

    Some of the sports offered through Athletics include football, cross country, volleyball, basketball, track and field, softball, baseball, wrestling, tennis, golf, soccer, forensics and cheer leading. Many of these sports are offered for boys and girls and many are offered at the junior varsity and varsity levels.

    Our mission is to offer all our student-athletes the opportunity to take their talents to the highest possible level performance by teaching them the benefits of discipline, teamwork, goal setting, and character development.
    Our goal is ensure that each student-athlete gains an appreciation of living a healthy lifestyle and a desire for lifelong learning.
