Henry L. Marsh, III Elementary School

Principal's Message

  • Principal Cook

I am honored and proud to serve as the first principal of Henry L. Marsh, III Elementary School. I am committed to positively impacting the lives of each student and staff member here at this school.

At Henry L. Marsh, III ES “Excellence is the Expectation.”

    We have four core values:
    1. ACADEMICS- Provide engaging, innovative, and challenging instruction

    2. COMMUNITY- School community and community partners work together to promote positive, productive citizens (Community of Caring)

    3. MONARCH PRIDE- Students take pride in themselves and their community

    4. SOCIAL JUSTICE- Equity and Access (Providing our students access to high-quality education and giving each child what they need)

My vision for Marsh ES is to provide students with an educational experience that inspires and motivates them to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and responsible citizens.   Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment that meets the individual needs of each student, both academically and socially.

Families, teachers, support staff, community members, and administration all play a part in helping our students develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Together, we can make a positive difference. A strong partnership between home and school fosters greater success for our children.   “One Team, One Dream”!

We are excited for the opportunity to work with you and your child to provide a safe and productive learning environment. I encourage you to call me to share ideas, concerns, or questions. I wish your family, and especially your children, great success this school year.

    Kimberly Cook

    Principal

  • RPS Direct Update - September 24, 2021

Dear #RPSStrong Family, Happy Fall Friday! Tonight's updates: Richmond Virtual Academy (RVA) Waitlist Update – Please note the following: By next Friday, October 1, we will notify all preschool-5th grade families of their status – whether offered a seat or not – via the email address they used to register their student/s on the waitlist. In the interest of fairness, we are using a randomized selection process to identify students for the limited number of available seats. As I shared last week, there are unfortunately no more virtual seats for middle and high school students. Any family who is already enrolled in virtual can switch to in-person at any time by completing the Switch Pathways Form (Formulario de Cambio de Decisión).
