Warrior Families,
Can you believe that we have reached the semester mark already? Our virtual school year continues to progress and I could not be more proud of the effort and commitment that our Warrior Students, Families, and Staff have demonstrated! Thank you Warrior Families for your grace, understanding, and support as we continue the work of teaching and learning.
Warrior Community Newsletter Enclosed in this newsletter is information about upcoming events and school support information. We are excited about continuing to find ways to connect with our community.
You can expect invites very soon for our Virtual Grade level Awards ceremonies. We had a number of Warrior Students demonstrate their incredible academic skill in virtual learning this semester by earning Straight "A" Scholar Roll, Scholar Roll, and Honor Roll. We also have Warrior Students that have demonstrated tremendous character and will receive citizenship awards for the first semester. We want to make time to recognize their effort and dedication.
Major shout out to our Warrior Staff that has continued to adapt and demonstrate grit to support our students through virtual learning.
Last, but certainly not least, I would like to thank our incredible Northside Warrior Community. We are blessed to serve the best community in the city of Richmond. The Warrior Family will continue to grow professionally, improve on our service, and continue to build a legacy of excellence.
Thank you for your support. Hope this message finds you and your families well.
We are...Warriors Today.....Leaders Tomorrow!

INTRODUCING OUR 2O20-2021 TEACHER OF THE YEAR!
I am currently a teacher at Henderson Middle School where for the past 6 years, I’ve taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade science. I have been teaching for a total of 21 years at various schools up and down the east coast as well overseas in Abu Dhabi. I received my Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education from SUNY Old Westbury, received an endorsement in Middle Grades Science while teaching in Georgia and received a Master’s Degree in Administration and Leadership from the University of Phoenix. Science and Spanish have been my main areas of concentration.
As an educator, I also consider myself a mentor as well as a role-model for my students. I truly enjoy getting to know my students on a personal level and learning about their ambitions, visions and goals. I receive satisfaction from seeing the “light bulb” moment when they receive, understand an internalize a concept. I have developed a special way of communicating with my students that encourages trust, love and an environment conducive for learning.
I became a teacher because I wanted to be influential in shaping the lives of our youth. I wanted to use and share my knowledge as a means of preparing our youth for their future endeavors as they become integral members of society. I felt that teaching was an excellent path to meet these goals!
