3rd Annual #LIUB 3k Autism Walk & Festival

It is that time of year again for us to “light it up blue” for the annual Autism Walk & Festival hosted by the JP Jumpers Foundation. As you may know, Pam Mines is the Founder and President of this non-profit foundation.  She established this foundation to bring awareness to those individuals living with special needs, specifically Autism.  Part of the foundation’s mission is to provide support for those affected by special needs through tangible assistance, public awareness and education.  Pam discovered that partnering with various organizations could innovatively assist with getting this worthy cause on the forefront of the public’s mind. So, how can you help? Glad you asked!

Athletic Directors, we are inviting each of you and 25 of your student athletes to join us for the walk & festival and students are welcome to wear their school gear. However, Principals, if you would like to expand this effort beyond your athletic programs, please feel free to do so. Community service hours will be provided for those students participating. You may contact Greta Randolph or myself at (804) 646-4992 or email us atgreta.randolph@richmondgov.com or heather.anderson@richmondgov.com if you are interested in participating and/or if you have any additional points of clarity.  We’ve attached the event flyer for your convenience.

Thanking you in advance on behalf of Sheriff Irving and the entire Richmond City Sheriff’s Office for your consideration and continued support of our community engagement initiatives.  We are looking forward to serving our community and meeting their needs, One Step at a Time!!!
