The Visual Arts Center of Richmond hosted an adjudication day for the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. 41 jurors and 15 moderators from the Richmond Arts Community judged 2,674 works of art by local students. RCHS 11th grader Aris Ruff was awarded a Scholastic Silvey Key for his painting entitled Memories of Youth. The Scholastic Silver Key is awarded to stand-out works submitted to local programs that demonstrate exceptional ability.
