Principal Lamont Trotter

Greetings Richmond Alternative School Parents & Students,

What an exciting first half of the year has passed on our campus. Over the past months our staff and students continue to work hard pushing our students with their individualized instruction.

Our Aspire Academy students continues to complete Edgenuity course work and modules along with bi-weekly assessments in conjunction with various SOL learning objectives

Our Spartan Academy Middle School Science class recently completed their lesson with cells long with completed cell projects that can been seen outside their classrooms.

Our Spartan Book Club just completed Tear of a Tiger. Students had the opportunity to collaborate with one another regarding the purpose of the novel as well as the relation it had with them.

Our ISAEP students continue to work towards their high school equivalency, these students have been working very hard and I have no doubt success is on the horizon.

I’m equally excited to announce our campus has engaged in several events: Aspire Academy to Virginia State University, Spartan Academy hosted Mayor Levar Stoney for a roundtable discussion, ISAEP will be traveling to Washington, DC to the African American Museum in December.

Our motto this is year is ACT: Accountability, Communication & Trust each day we continue to expect our staff, students and community partners to keep these words at the forefront of their minds as we engage as a school campus.  You can catch all information on our social media platforms Facebook, Twitter and Instagram at Richmond Alternative School

You’re always welcome at 119 West. Leigh St. to stop in and visit. We welcome your involvement, feedback and support.
