Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center (PEATC), Virginia’s Parent Training and Information Center. Our mission is to empower families of children with disabilities (birth to age 26) by providing free and confidential resources, training, and one-on-one consultations.
We understand families' unique challenges when navigating special education and disability service systems. That’s why PEATC offers:
✅ Personalized consultations to help families understand their rights and options
✅ Workshops, webinars, and training on special education, self-advocacy, and transition to adulthood
✅ Easy-to-understand fact sheets and resources in English and Spanish
✅ Dedicated support for Latino families, military families, and early childhood transitions
Our services are free to Virginia families; assistance is provided in more than 300 languages.
