The MIX @ The Science Museum of Virginia

Explore STEM, make new friends, and exercise your creativity in the Science Museum of VA's teens-only maker space! Created using the principle of HOMAGO (hanging out, messing around, and geeking out), The MiX is a membership-based, open-ended maker space environment centered on allowing teens the freedom to explore new skills and creative pursuits. Teens can join their peers, as well as qualified mentors, in exploring projects in electronics, coding, computer science, 3D design/printing, woodworking, sound/music/video editing, and much more! In addition to “open making” time, the MiX also offers mentor-led workshops for those teens who are interested. 

The MiX is free to teens ages 13–18.
