At Richmond Public Schools, we understand the importance of offering a competitive compensation and benefits package in order to attract and retain the top talent. We are proud to offer a robust benefits package to all full-time, benefits eligible employees. This package provides numerous programs to meet the needs of you and your family.
As part of your benefits offerings, you can choose from three different medical options, two dental plan options, life insurance for you and your dependents, flexible spending accounts (healthcare and dependent care), short term and long term disability, critical illness, accidental injury and hospital indemnity insurance, legal resources, tax-deferred retirement savings programs, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Retirement benefits are also provided to eligible employees.
Wellness activities support health program cost reductions through positive employee engagement programming. The Benefits and Compensation Department also oversees all leaves of absence, which includes Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) entitlements, paid parental leave, Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), short-term and long-term disability, and unpaid leaves of absence.
