General Description:
The Manager, Grant Monitoring & Compliance collaborates with various departments and schools within the division to create grants that are aligned with the needs assessment generated at the school and the division levels. The Manager conducts regular meetings with grant holders to discuss allowable expenditures, timeliness of those expenditures, and the process by which the division must operate in order to be in compliance with state and federal guidelines and regulations. The Manager collaborates with Local Education Agency (LEA) and State Education Agency (SEA) officials to support compliant execution of grant awards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Supports and monitors the preparation of local, state, and federal grant applications based on division needs

·         Effectively communicates the federal, state, and local guidelines to   stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations

·         Gathers and analyzes data and to create informative fiscal reports to ensure timely expenditures

·         Ensures all federal, state and local funded programs are in programmatic and budgetary compliance

·         Participates in local, state and/or national conferences to remain abreast of grant regulations

·         Performs other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, business administration, education or related field required

·         Four years of experience in the development and/or administration of federal grants for an educational institution

·         In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations and guidance regarding the use of grant funds

·         Skilled in program management, budget development, and management of expenditures

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex ideas simply and succinctly

·         Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

·         Strong organizational skills, including keen attention to detail and ease at managing competing demands and determining priorities independently

·         Experience working in a fast-paced, environment; adaptable when managing multiple, shifting priorities; comfortable with ambiguity

·         Bilingual/fluency in Spanish preferred
