¡Con Ganas!

¡Con Ganas! is a specialized year-round program designed for multilingual learners 17 years and older. ¡Con Ganas! gives students the opportunity to study with a non-traditional schedule, allowing students to meet their personal needs that traditional day classes may interfere with such as:

  • Work-related needs

  • Child-care needs

  • Over-age and under-credited 

  • Other personal urgent circumstances

Students can be referred by teachers; however, referrals will need to be approved by school counselors prior to enrolling into ¡Con Ganas! Student eligibility consists of:

  • Actively enrolled in a RPS high school
    •   Has completed one school year of high school

  • Is a multilingual learner

  • Is at least 17 years old

  • Is under-credited and needs verified credits.

 

¡Con Ganas! GED in Spanish

¡Con Ganas! GED in Spanish is a specialized program for multilingual learners. This program provides students with evening in-person courses with direct academic support to successfully pass the GED exams in Spanish. There are four exams: 

  • Spanish Language Arts

  • Mathematical Reasoning

  • Social Studies

  • Science

Students are eligible to take the exams as soon as they meet the minimum threshold on the pre-tests. As a bonus, students will also take English Language Development classes as part of the ISAEP program. 

Students can be referred by their school counselor or engagement team as a dropout recovery method. Student eligibility consists of:

  • Ability to speak and write in Spanish

  • Severely under-credited

  • High risk of dropping out or has dropped out
