The Hearing Office coordinates Divisionwide efforts to maintain a safe, healthy learning environment in every school. The Hearing Office additionally ensures that education is provided in an atmosphere that is conducive to learning, free of disruption and threat, and supportive of an individual’s rights.
The Hearing Office creates a positive impact on school safety, student success, and disciplinary practices, ensuring that they are equitable and consistent across the Division. The Hearing Office serves as a neutral yet compassionate decision maker, ensuring that each student case is evaluated thoroughly, fairly, and in alignment with due process, district policies, and restorative practices.

- School Discipline Panel Hearings
- School Board Student Discipline Committee Hearings
- Alternative Placements
- Recommendations for Expulsion
- Short-term Suspensions Greater than 5 days
- Long-term Suspensions
- Readmission Conferences
