The Care and Safety Team strives to create a learning environment that students, staff, and visitors feel safe and welcome
The Care and Safety team ensures that all students remain safe, and all buildings remain safe and secure. Our highly trained Care and Safety Associates and other staff serve as a source of information, assistance, and guidance to parents, teachers, and staff — as well as a vital link to support services within the community.
At RPS, we believe that safety directly impacts the school’s culture and learning environment, and we strive to create safe and supportive spaces. As a result, our students are able to achieve, grow, and thrive. In addition to providing on-the-ground support in schools across the Division, our Care & Safety team also builds strong relationships within the school, promote positive student behavior in and out of schools, and work closely with the community, local law enforcement, and emergency management officials to maintain safe buildings.
