Test Taker Academy

Program Description

Test Taker Academy was established to address the needs of students who have met all course credit requirements, but still need 1 or 2 verified credits to earn a high school diploma. These students have discontinued attending school on a daily basis. The Test Taker Academy provides remediation and retest opportunities on SOL tests as well as state-approved substitute assessments. Substitute assessments include ACT WorkKeys Reading and Writing, CLEP College Algebra, CLEP General Biology, and CLEP History of US I and II. Intensive remediation and test preparation are provided. Students must attend in-person classes held two nights a week. Jobs for Virginia Graduates (JVG) programming offers job skills and workforce readiness.

Test Taker Academy serves students who are only 1-2 verified credits away from earning a high school diploma. Students have met all other graduation requirements for a standard diploma, including:

• All core and elective course credits
• 3-4 verified credits
• Economics and Personal Finance
• CCCRI requirement and/or industry credential
• First Aid/CPR/AED training
