The goal of driver education is to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and safe driving behaviors needed to become responsible drivers. Through Behind-the-Wheel instruction, students participate in guided, hands-on driving experiences that build confidence and competence behind the wheel.

- The program includes seven sessions. The seventh session is the road test.
- Students spend one hour driving and one hour observing during each session, for a total of 14 hours.
- Morning sessions are held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Students will be dropped off at school before the morning bell.
- Afternoon sessions are held from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Parents or guardians are responsible for picking up students at the end of each session.
- After registration, an instructor will contact a parent or guardian with scheduling information.
