Did You Move to a Different RPS School Zone?
If your student is currently enrolled in RPS and you have moved to a different RPS school zone, please provide two proofs of residency to either your new school or your previous school. Your previous school will transfer your student's records to your new school.

Out-of-zone, Specialty, and Regional Governor's Schools Applications
Students can apply for admission to out-of-zone schools through our annual open enrollment processes. The application period for specialty and regional governor's schools is now closed.

Preschool Application
The 2025-26 Preschool Applications Will Open February 24, 2025!
Richmond Public Schools Preschool is free for eligible children who turn 3 or 4-years-old by September 30, 2025.
RPS Preschool includes the Head Start and Virginia Preschool Initiative (VPI) Programs. Parents can choose to apply to one or both programs!
