AP 4 ALL

All students deserve an exciting and rigorous learning experience with equitable access to become college, career, or civic ready.

AP course work helps students in their college major and career exploration by encouraging the development of the academic knowledge and skills increasingly important to students’ overall employability.

“Research shows that exposure to rigorous classes in high school is a key indicator of post-secondary success. In addition to preparing students for the rigors of college, challenging coursework like Advanced Placement enables students to dig deeper into subjects that interest them and build analytical and problem solving skills that build confidence and are essential for success in any career path.” National Science and Math Initiative

RPS Advanced Placement (AP) provides academic college preparatory coursework in the major core and humanities fields. AP classes are modeled after introductory college coures, enabling students to pursue college-level studies while still in high school. Each course culminates in a standardized college- level assessment or AP exam.   AP exams are given in May at a set time and date.

RPS AP course offerings are expanding to meet the needs of our diverse community.  Courses in orange are NEW courses extending the AP offerings for the 2024-2025 school year.
